The Racing Series

The series we propose to be racing in is the 2009 Dunlop Mini Challenge, This is a one make series (new shape mini coopers) which tours with the Dunlop Great and british package. We will be visiting some of the most prestigious circuits in the country. The Championship has a very closely contended title, comprising four classes and an overall position. The classes are; S class, for mini cooper S cars with a supercharger. Club Class; for standard mini cooper works cars. Novice class; for novice drivers in both the club and S class entering there first season of motorsport. Ladies class; for all female drivers in the series. We will be entered into club class and novice class, also scoring points in the overall championship. The cars are all pretty close, performance wise. This allows for a series which relies on driver ability and showcases talent as a feeder series into higher levels of motor sport. The Organising body, Total Track ltd, are entering their 7th year running the series, with 2009 marking the 50th birthday of the 'mini' brand it should be a good year, both on and off the track.
